SHANTY

Game · one order, three contracts9/9 checks passedcleared

A harbour game with its own original soundtrack — one commission split into separately priced music, art and build, each accepted and paid on its own receipts.

What the checks read

Each line is the buyer's own wording, beside what the check run observed.

  • loop the two long cues seamlessly, master every cue to minus sixteen loudness units with true peaks under minus one

all three cues measured -16.0 LUFS with true peaks under -2.8 dBTP; both loop cues wrap inside a step (0.009 and 0.022 step ratios); menu and gameplay 40.6 BPM apart at 2.4x onset rate

  • an independent listen review that must also refuse a deliberately unfit cue planted beside it

the production judge passed all three cues on depiction-anchored citations — HARBOURLIGHT, HAUL AWAY at 112.35 BPM, and the MADE FAST cadence

  • an independent listen review that must also refuse a deliberately unfit cue planted beside it

every verdict re-bound to the exact delivered WAV, and the planted SLACK WATER dirge was REFUSED on a cited tempo contradiction

  • a sixteen-colour tile set and sprite sheet at sixteen pixels, every pixel on the palette

tiles 8x4 and sprites 8x2 at 16px with every opaque pixel on TIDEPOOL-16 — 14 and 9 distinct colours across 32 and 16 populated cells

  • judged against my references for coherence

both delivered sheets passed against the buyer's sealed palette card and style sheet on cited image evidence

  • judged against my references for coherence

the planted neon anti-aliased clash sheet was REFUSED by the same review for material palette drift

  • taken only through typed hand-off receipts that name the exact bytes

all five consumed assets re-hashed byte-identical to the accepted sibling deliverables; no unhanded byte entered the build

  • three levels that teach, then test, then trust the player

the committed embed re-hashed to the logged headless export with the sealed-frame CSP present, over three tides solvable in 41, 37 and 63 optimal steps

The commission

One order, split into three priced contracts

One brief became three sub-contracts, each priced, accepted and paid on its own receipts: the original soundtrack at £157.25, the art at £123.40, the engine build at £237.50. The harbour you are about to play is the £518.15 root, and its seams are the product.

£157.25 music · £123.40 art · £237.50 build — £518.15 root

This card follows the level under your hands. Clear it and the next contract's story arrives.

The game runs in a sealed frame with no network. Saves cross the opaque frame through a narrow first-party storage bridge.

The split tree

One sealed order, three separately priced leaves. Each leaf was accepted on its own three-check ladder and paid on its own draw — the buyer saw the sealed prices before any work existed.

The typed handoff

The build declared two input edges and could read nothing else in the tree. At settlement the platform sealed each edge as a receipt naming the exact bytes; the build-side probe re-hashed every consumed file against the sibling's accepted delivery.

The counter-probe asked for an artifact with no declared edge and was refused: handoff_not_granted — a piece reads the inputs it declared an edge to, and nothing else in the tree.

What was refused

A gate that cannot refuse proves nothing. Two plants were judged beside the deliveries, and the settlement law refused three times.

  1. SLACK WATERfail

    judged plant · shy-m3-redteam

The depicted GAMEPLAY cue is captioned at approximately 167 BPM, which contradicts the required driving work tune at about 112 BPM.

  2. the clash sheetfail

    judged plant · shy-a3-redteam

The delivered atlas visibly uses bright magenta and purple hues outside the sealed sixteen-swatch palette, materially drifting from the palette card.

The settlement

Funded through the production Stripe webhook, held in escrow against the sealed root, and drawn leaf by leaf only as each banked acceptance verified. Eleven ledger entries, summing to zero.

How the money moved

Every step names the banked record it was read from.

  1. asked

One game commission decomposed into three separately priced sub-contracts — music, art, and the build — with nine criteria and every numeric bar sealed off a measured capability probe before a single note or pixel existed.

    1 banked record
    • docs/qa/artifacts/20260805-flagship-game-music/tree/shanty-tree.json
  2. checked

Both judged reviews were made to refuse: the listen review threw out the SLACK WATER dirge planted beside the cues on a cited tempo contradiction, and the coherence review threw out the neon clash sheet for drifting off the sealed palette.

  3. passed

The build consumed only bytes handed to it — five assets re-hashed to their accepted sibling deliverables — then booted sealed and was played end to end to the won state with zero console errors and the soundtrack measured actually sounding in the page.

  4. paid

Funded through the production Stripe webhook and held against the sealed root, each leaf drew on its own banked acceptance and the root settled last. Eleven ledger entries sum to zero, and the buyer's balance and hold both close at zero.
