THE SCENE IS CODE

No editor was opened

A committed Python commandlet builds the whole scene headlessly: the medallion from an engine cylinder, the face plate from an engine plane, a studio floor, two rect lights, one skylight and one cine camera. The mark is the registered standing-otter file, baked to a mask and read as the boundary between two materials — steel is metal, the enamel is a dielectric. That difference is what the moving light finds. Nothing was purchased or downloaded.

Rendered through Movie Render Queue on Apple Silicon: Unreal Engine 5.8.1, Metal, Lumen and virtual shadow maps, 16 temporal samples a frame.

WHAT THE PROBES SAID

One freeze found, and kept

The master is exactly 12.000 s at 24 fps across 288 frames, with no black frames and no audio track — so no loudness gate is claimed. freezedetect found one still span of 0.458 s at the tail, where the shot settles on its final frame; it is declared here rather than tuned away. An earlier master also froze for the first half second — that one was a defect, caused by an ease that reached zero velocity at both ends, and it was fixed and re-rendered.

Frame 0 — the medallion in near darkness, the mark barely readable, one cool grazing light along the floor

Frame 144 — halfway through the arc, the key light beginning to cross the steel face

Frame 287 — the final frame, the medallion fully modelled and the mark fully uncovered

WHAT IT COST

In-house, so there is no price

SIGNET was not commissioned and no money changed hands, so no settled figure appears on it. The catalogue carries a settled price only where one was actually cleared.
